Texas Home Living (TXHmL)

This is a Medicaid waiver program that provides community-based services and supports to eligible individuals who do not require out-of-home residential services. The eligible individuals live in their own home in their family homes.

Services components of TxHmL include:

  1. Community Support Services
  2. Day Habilitation
  3. Nursing Services
  4. Employment Assistance
  5. Supported Employment
  6. Behavioral Support Services
  7. Adaptation Aid/Minor Home Modification
  8. Dental Services
  9. Respite Services
  10. Specialized therapies (occupational Physical, Speech/language, dietary, etc.)

Eligibility

Individual is eligible for TxHml program services if he/she

  1. Qualifier for ICF/MR LOC 1
  2. Choose TxHmL over ICF/MR
  3. Meets Financial criteria for the waiver Program
  4. Is SSI recipient
  5. Lives in own home or family home
  6. Not concurrently enrolled in other waiver program
  7. His/Her health/welfare can be assured with combination of waiver and non-waiver supports and services
