Texas Home Living (TXHmL)
This is a Medicaid waiver program that provides community-based services and supports to eligible individuals who do not require out-of-home residential services. The eligible individuals live in their own home in their family homes.
Services components of TxHmL include:
- Community Support Services
- Day Habilitation
- Nursing Services
- Employment Assistance
- Supported Employment
- Behavioral Support Services
- Adaptation Aid/Minor Home Modification
- Dental Services
- Respite Services
- Specialized therapies (occupational Physical, Speech/language, dietary, etc.)
Eligibility
Individual is eligible for TxHml program services if he/she
- Qualifier for ICF/MR LOC 1
- Choose TxHmL over ICF/MR
- Meets Financial criteria for the waiver Program
- Is SSI recipient
- Lives in own home or family home
- Not concurrently enrolled in other waiver program
- His/Her health/welfare can be assured with combination of waiver and non-waiver supports and services
